SMC composite material is a kind of sandwich raw material for compression molding. Its core material is chopped untwisted roving, impregnated with polyester resin paste (containing resin, low-shrinkage additives, internal release agent, thickener, color paste, etc.), and covered with polyethylene film on both upper and lower sides to form a sheet material. The thickness ranges from 1.5mm to 3.5mm, and the width from 500mm to 1200mm. It is supplied in rolls or packed in tonnage boxes. In application, the material is cut and weighed, the protective film is peeled off, then placed into a pre-heated mold. After pressurizing and holding pressure for the required time, the finished product can be demolded.
